Wand: 10 inches, Rosewood, Chimaera Scale core Bloodline: Pure blood Patronus: Lynx Brief Life History: Rabastan grew up as the children of most rich pure bloods did; Spoiled and arrogant. He was sorted into Slytherin at Hogwarts, a year before Lucius Malfoy, but the two became fast friends. Rabastan was an excellent student. His favorite subjects were Charms, Herbology and Muggle Studies (the latter of which he kept a secret). Much to his own chagrin, he loved all things muggle, except for the muggles themselves. He had very little tolerance where they were concerned. He liked to play with them, as though they were his toys, often imperiusing them and forcing them to do humiliating things for his own entertainment. He always looked up to his older brother Rodolphus. Anything that Rodolphus did, Rabastan was right behind him. So it came as no surprise when Rodolphus became a death eater that Rabastan followed suit. He was twenty five at the time. Rabastan didn't truly know what he was getting himself into at the time, but as one to never do things half-heartedly, he put his everything into it. He made a commitment, and he was going to follow through, regardless of consequence. The dark lord's ideals were not a great stretch for Rabastan, and he soon adopted them as his own. He always kept a somewhat low profile as a death eater, but he was just as ruthless as his sister in law, Bellatrix. When the dark lord fell, he and three other death eaters looked for their master. Seeking information high and low, and torturing Alice and Frank Longbottom into madness in the process. The four faithful followers were imprisoned in Azkaban for their efforts, to be 'released' some fifteen years later when Voldemort rose again. After surviving the second war, Rabastan took money he had removed from Gringotts after the war began and escaped to live among the American muggles he despised. He even grew fond of some, and married a muggle girl named Elizabeth. They never had children though. As much as he loved Elizabeth, his old prejudices would never die. He would not be a father to a half blood child. His life in America (California is where he settled, Napa Valley more precisely) was ordinary. He had removed enough money to live quite comfortably for the rest of his days, so he never had to seek employment. He had always enjoyed plants and gardening, but other commitments kept him from it. In Napa Valley he found that he had quite a knack for making things grow, and his ranch soon boasted one of the largest and best vineyards in the area. Rabastan's wife never knew about his wayward past, or even his real name. The last time he used his magic was to create the proper documentation he needed to become citizen of the United States under his alias. He died while on holiday with his wife in Boca Raton, Florida. Appearance: Rabastan has always been rather easy on the eyes. Standing at an even 6' tall he is of an average build, though slightly broader in the shoulders than most. He likes to keep his medium brown hair long, but not overly, and he has been known to wear it short. His light blue eyes have often been described as cold and aloof, yet eerily mesmerizing. Extras Personality: He has a tendency to be a bit pompous, but that is countered by his great empathy and irresistable charm. He is also a bit of a flirt, and extremely playful. Don't let his smile fool you though, Rabastan is as cruel as he is kind, just give him a reason. Likes: muggle sports, plants, wine, collecting muggle weaponry, classical music, star gazing Dislikes: muggles, harsh loud noises, large open bodies of water (though shallow bodies where he can see the bottom are fine), and poetry. Sexuality: Heterosexual Love Interests: Married to a much younger muggle woman named Elizabeth from age 49 until his death. Afterlife Age in the afterlife: 28 Home: Cottage in the country. Occupation: None. What he remembers: He doesn't remember anything after the torture of the Longbottoms in 1981. In his mind he never went to Azkaban, and he never married a muggle. He does remember his death, but he believes an auror or another wizard caused it.
